FUTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING CERTIFICATE – GENERIC MANAGEMENT NQF 4

As per the South African Qualifications Authority this Learnership is intended for junior managers of business units in medium and large organizations, or those aspiring to these positions. Junior managers include: team leaders, supervisors, foremen and section heads.

These learners who achieve this qualification will be able to demonstrate competencies in management relating to: Planning, Organising, Leading Controlling and Ethics.

We have provided an option whereby you can enhance this Learnership by including an additional 4 days of lean training. The focus of this qualification has been designed to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of Lean. We have achieved this by incorporating Lean fundamental principles into the core learning outcomes of this learning programme.

  • Includes theoretical, activity-based learning with a portfolio of evidence and assessments 
  • The benefit of this learnership as part of your B-BBEE skills development requirements, is your employees are required to not only learn the theory and skill but also apply the learnings in their workplace and make improvements with the help of a coach who mentors and assesses them.
  • This learnership is classified as a Category B training programme on the B-BBEE skills matrix.

What is a Learnership?

The B-BBEE codes have changed and skills development is a priority element where organizations need to spend a % of their leviable payroll.  A Learnership is classified as Category B training on the skills matrix and the learners’ salaries count towards the skills development spend.

Highlights of a Learnership:

1. A Learnership is SETA accredited to multiple unit standards and takes up to 30 days of training over a 12 month period.
2. Learnerships are facilitated and assessed by accredited facilitators.
3. There are four way contracts between the learner, the employer, service provider and SETA.
4. The salaries and learnership costs count towards the Skills Development spend
The learners’ salaries count for the duration of the internship towards B-BBEE training and skills development spend.
