This Business Skills internship is an essential learning program for service industry or support services employees who need to develop their customer service skills, business writing and telephone etiquette. In addition this Internship offers a choice of basic and advanced Microsoft Word or Excel. Employees will learn effective time management techniques and problem solving skills to improve their own workplace and the service they offer their customers. This internship offers the perfect blend of theory and work place application with practical projects for every course so they will develop themselves and improve their productivity and customer experience.

Writing is a key method of communication for most people, and it is one that many people struggle with. Writing and communication skills have weakened with more and more people communicating through email and text messaging. Developing writing skills is still important in the business world as creating professional documents (such as proposals, reports and agendas), gives you that extra edge in the workplace. The Business Writing workshop will give you a refresher on basic writing concepts (such as spelling, grammar and punctuation) and an overview of the most common business documents. These basic skills will provide you with that extra benefit in the business world that people are missing.

Time-Management

The Time Management workshop will cover strategies to help you learn these crucial skills. This workshop is designed to help you use the advanced features. Excel 2013 also has an improved user interface with an array of powerful tools to help you manage your data. Better information leads to better decision making!
Trace precedent cells and dependent cells, as well as use other auditing tools. Use SmartArt and other objects in worksheets and manage, record and run macros.
