The Conscious Leader operates in a heightened state of awareness. This course leverages TLC’s FLAME Leadership Development model. The FLAME (Future, Leadership, Action, Motivation & Edge) programme will teach you the skills of a Conscious Leader as  you complete the practical training with personal assessments accompanied by a Leadership coach.

THE CONSCIOUS LEADER IS AIMED AT TEACHING KEY SKILLS AROUND:

Developing your team’s vision and action plan

Recognise your own personality style strengths and challenges

Learn effective ways to manage conflict

Inspire your team to achieve its goals

INTERNSHIP INCLUDES


• 5 days of theoretical training
• 8 months access to the online Conscious Leader course
• 3 Leadership coaching sessions
• Personality Style and Conflict assessment
• Theoretical online exam
• Practical workplace projects
• Project coaching (3 onsite coaching sessions) and assessments for practical workplace project application
• Conscious Leader advanced certification administration
• International certification

A Certificate will only be issued on completion of both the theoretical knowledge and practical workplace application project. At the end of the agreed upon time, the Intern will submit a project that will be due at the end of 8 months.

• Describe and apply the stages of the PDCA model (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
• Apply the A3 problem solving technique
• Apply Root Cause Analysis techniques (5 Whys, Brainstorming and Fishbone)
• Define and apply motivation theories to motivate teams
• Explore the concepts of Employee Engagement and Disengagement
• Discuss the Pillars of Retention and how it impacts your role as an effective Leader
• Use decision making techniques to make effective team decisions
• Discuss and apply the Principles of Delegation


• Complete a Team Styles Map and create a goals, roles and relationship tool for your team
• Create an action plan based on your assessments
• Implement an improvement project (using A3, 5S)
• Create a final story board to present to your class

• Facilitate effective meetings to achieve desired outcomes

• Internalise 360 Degree and Personality Style Feedback and create an Action Plan
• Create a Start, Stop, Continue for your development
• Create an Agenda and facilitate a meeting
• Report back to coach


TRAINING
• Determine the elements of achieving a World-Class Culture (focused improvements,
8 Types of Waste, 5S)
• Describe and apply the stages of the PDCA Model (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
• Apply the A3 Problem Solving Method
• Discuss the importance of applying Visual Management that drives performance
• Apply Root Cause Analysis Techniques (5 Whys, Brainstorming and Fishbone)


ACTION PLAN
• Implement an improvement (remove waste or implement 5S)
• Solve a problem using A3 and Root Cause Problem Solving Method
• Implement simple Visual Management for your team
• Report back to coach


TRAINING
• Define and apply Motivation Theories to motivate teams

• Discuss the Pillars of Retention and how it impacts your role as an effective Leader
• Practice giving effective feedback
